Chocolates And Lollipops

The cost of lollipop is 25 cents.

You can do it in your head or you can use equations:
let be the cost of one chocolate, and L the cost of one lollipop, then we have:
2C + 3L = 3.25
and
C = 1.00 + L
We can substitute for C and we have:
2(1.00 + L) + 3L = 3.25
2.00 + 2L + 3L = 3.25
5L = 1.25
Thus L = 0.25
